Overwhelmed by all the choices of baby carriers? Have a carrier and can't figure it out? Have a group and want to share the love of babywearing?
Get a group together and have me come and demonstrate!
Approximately 90 minutes long, the topics of the class include: The benefits of babywearing for baby and parent, an overview of each type of carrier with a discussion on the pros and cons of each type, how to choose and use the carrier that is right for you and your family, and safety information. Participants can try on various styles of carriers and I am available for one on one assistance. You can also bring your own carrier and I can assist you in figuring out how it works. I will also have carriers available for sale.

Breastfeeding classes
I am also teaching breastfeeding classes at the store (I am a La Leche League leader and a Registered Nurse). The class is 2-2.5 hours long and covers the benefits of breastfeeding, preparing for and initiating breastfeeding, the basics of milk production, signs of a proper latch, breastfeeding videos, nursing positions, how to know your baby is getting enough milk, knowing when to get help, going back to work, nighttime feedings, and
little-known facts about breastfeeding.
The class is $25 and you receive a folder with resources, some samples and
a CD with a ton of breastfeeding and newborn care information on it.

Private Classes and Personalized Assistance via Skype
Product demonstration
This class is for those who have purchased the carrier they like and need some extra help beyond the printed instructions that come with the carrier. While I would love to offer a personalized demonstration with each carrier that I sell, it is not always possible. Offered in my home in Joliet, IL or via webcam and Skype (Skype is a free download and you do not have to have a webcam) all of the different ways to use your carrier of choice and help you make sure you are completely comfortable with it. *Great for parents with newborns who may feel a little unsure about how to use their carrier properly.*

Private class
This is essentially the class I teach for the group classes (see above) but tailored to you and your baby. This is for those who need help deciding which carrier to buy and would like to see all the options "in person" before they buy. Offered in my home in Joliet, IL or via webcam and Skype, I will review all the different types of carriers available, basic carries for each type, safety information, and help you decide on a carrier. You can also try on the carriers as well.
